Teaching and Mentoring

If you are interested in working with me on a one-to-one basis, either in person, or online, I do 1-1 mentoring via Gold Dust. Working one-to-one is a fantastic way to get in-depth feedback on your writing, especially if you have a collection of short stories or novel underway.  There’s an email form on the Gold Dust website, or use this address:  webenquiry (at) gold-dust (dot) org (dot) uk.

I hold the post of Reader in Creative Writing and New Media at De Montfort University - where I also recently finished my doctorate -  so if you are interested in working with me on a PhD or an MA by Independent Study, contact me at DMU on kpullinger (at) dmu (dot) ac (dot) uk.  My research interests at the university include the following: digital fiction, fiction, creative writing and new media, stories in games, the future of publishing, the future of writing, the future of reading, as well as new ways of telling stories using the new technologies.

I teach other courses from time to time.  Currently I’m teaching a six month long ‘How to Tell a Story’ course as part of the UEA/Guardian Masterclass series.  In May 2012 I’ll be teaching a week-long residential course at Arvon - The Hurst, with Romesh Gunesekera - the week of 28 May.  And then in September I’ll be teaching a residential course on the west coast of Canada, at Hollyhock, ‘Writing in the Digital Age”.
